Ngaitad Stanislaus NJINGA is an Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Ilorin. He is currently the Acting Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry; with over 11 years of teaching experience.
He has served as Coordinator of the Department of Pharmacognosy and Drug Development, Faculty Examination Officer (2012–2022), Departmental Examination Officer (2017-2022) and Assistant Departmental Examination Officer (2012-2017). He is currently a Faculty representative to Postgraduate School. Dr. Njinga has to his credit over fifty publications in reputable outlets both national and international as well as a book published in 2022. He is a member Royal Society of Chemistry and various associations as well as a member of the African Centre for Herbal Research Ilorin (ACHRI), Member of Science Association of Nigeria.
Dr. Njinga research focus is on natural product chemistry (isolation and characterization of lead compounds)
