Biography

Sa’ad Toyin ABDULLAHI, is a Reader in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, and the 7th and current Ag. Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Ilorin with almost twelve years university teaching, research, and administrative experience having joined the University as a Lecturer II in July, 2012. He has held several administrative positions including Ag. Head of the Department (2017 – 2022), two terms Departmental Examination Officer (2012 – 2017 and 2020-2022). He has also served in several committees including as Faculty Representative: Senior Staff Appointments and Promotions Committee (2022 till date); Junior Staff Appointments & Promotions Committee (2018 till date); Quiz & Debate Committee (2012 – 2017); and member, Board of Technical and Entrepreneurship Centre (2021 till date). His research interests predominantly focus on pharmaceutical analysis, clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenetics and pharmacometrics. He has over twenty-five publications in reputable peer reviewed local and international journals to his credit.
